Good Hands Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Pet Care Attendant!

Position Details

• Role: Pet Care Attendant
• Status: Full-time
• Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
• Schedule: Weekdays 7am-6pm (full day) or half day 7a-1p or 1p-6p

Good Hands Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full-time team member to help us provide the best care for pets staying at our hospital.
Our team is fun-loving and committed to delivering the highest quality care to our clients and patients. We are looking for someone who loves animals, enjoys being part of a team, and has a customer service background.

This position supports pets staying in both our hospital and kennel. Among other responsibilities a Pet Care Attendant:

• Walking dogs
• Cleans dog runs/cages and cat cages
• Feeding and basic care for pets in the kennel
• Maintains the overall cleanliness of the kennel areas.
• Cleaning and keeping kennel areas organized and free of safety hazards
• Cleaning examination tables and exam rooms between exams
• Administering oral medications prescribed by Veterinarians
• Observing animal behavior/health conditions and reporting changes to the technicians or doctors
• Keeping accurate records and logs

• Excellent communication skills
• Patient and caring personality
• Ability to follow instructions properly
• Comfortable being around and handling animals (cats and dogs)
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs.)
• Ability to work rotating weekend shifts and holiday shifts.
