Position Details
- Role: Pet Care Attendant
- Status: Part-time
- Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
- Schedule: 4-6 hour shifts with morning and evening responsibilities
Countryside Veterinary Service in Champion is seeking a dedicated Pet Care Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and fun environment for dogs/cats in our boarding facility. Your primary focus in this position will be animal husbandry and enrichment.

What Our Pet Care Attendants Bring
- Experience in animal care or handling is preferred; previous work in a kennel or veterinary setting is a plus.
- Strong skills in animal handling, including knowledge of animal restraint techniques.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as required for the role.
- Familiarity with dog training methods and pet grooming practices is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine love for animals are essential.
- Must have flexible hours
What You’ll Do
- Provide basic care for dogs and cats, including feeding, administering medications as needed, and occasional bathing.
- Client communication (schedule boarding reservations, take payment for boarding stays, communicate medical concerns as needed, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness of the boarding facility by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment, as well as other areas of the hospital as needed.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management/medical staff.
- Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or managing larger dogs.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both the dogs and staff.
