Position Details
- Role: Kennel Technician
- Status: Full-time
- Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
- Schedule: Weekdays and Weekends as well as Holidays
We are a busy, compassionate veterinary practice dedicated to providing excellent care to our patients and a positive experience for our clients. We are looking for a hardworking, dependable Kennel Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, watering, and monitoring.
- Clean and disinfect kennels, runs, litter boxes, and common areas.
- Walk dogs and provide enrichment throughout the day.
- Assist with bathing, nail trims, and basic grooming as needed.
- Observe animals’ behavior and report any concerns to veterinary staff.
- Ensure laundry, dishes, and cleaning tasks are completed throughout each shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for animals, clients, and staff.
- Help with patient handling and restraint when requested by veterinary staff.
- Follow all clinic protocols for sanitation, safety, and animal welfare.
Qualifications:
- Previous animal care experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work for extended periods.
- Weekend, evening, and holiday availability preferred.
