What Our Veterinary Receptionists Do
- Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phones, route calls appropriately, and respond to client inquiries
- Schedule appointments and help manage daily appointment flow
- Check patients in and out while ensuring accurate client and patient information
- Collect payments and process invoices
- Maintain accurate medical records and client information
- Assist with prescription refill requests and routine follow-up communications
- Coordinate with veterinarians and technicians to support efficient patient flow
- Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and welcoming
What Our Veterinary Receptionists Bring
- Previous veterinary reception or animal hospital experience strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confidence handling high call volume and competing priorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort interacting with clients, patients, and team members
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn practice management software
- Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional during emotional situations
