Who we are

Vetcor is seeking a Technology Project Manager to help drive strategic technology initiatives that support more than 900 veterinary hospitals across the United States and Canada.

 

This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity supporting our team of data engineers and app developers. This role is ideal for an experienced project leader who enjoys creating clarity across complex initiatives while partnering with technical teams and business stakeholders. The contractor will work closely with the Director of Engineering and cross-functional leaders to drive alignment, remove obstacles, and improve execution across multiple workstreams.

 

The Work: 

  • Coordinate planning and execution across multiple engineering initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to establish priorities, timelines, dependencies, and success criteria.
  • Facilitate communication between business, operational, product, and engineering teams.
  • Identify risks, roadblocks, and competing priorities while driving mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor initiative progress and provide clear, concise status updates to leadership.
  • Support strategic planning and execution through organization, analysis, and coordination.
  • Maintain visibility into active initiatives and upcoming priorities.
  • Drive accountability for action items, deliverables, and follow-up.
  • Recommend and support process improvements that increase delivery effectiveness.
  • Assist with organizational readiness activities supporting new technology initiatives.

What we are seeking: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5–7 years of experience leading or coordinating complex technical programs, projects, or strategic initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with software engineering or technology teams.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
