Position Details

Role: Kennel Attendant
Status: Part-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays, 7:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 4:00–8:00 p.m.

Our Kennel Attendants play an important role in keeping boarding and hospitalized pets safe, comfortable, clean, and well cared for. From feeding and medications to exercise and observation, you’ll help make sure every pet receives compassionate, attentive care while they’re with us.

What Our Kennel Attendants Do

  • Provide compassionate daily care for boarding and hospitalized patients
  • Walk, feed, and provide fresh water to pets according to their individual care plans
  • Administer medications accurately as directed
  • Monitor pets closely for signs of distress, illness, discomfort, or behavioral changes
  • Communicate patient concerns promptly to the appropriate veterinary team member
  • Maintain clean and comfortable kennels, cages, and boarding areas
  • Vacuum, mop, clean cages, and complete necessary facility sanitation
  • Safely handle and move pets using gentle, compassionate techniques
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment
