Be the Friendly Face That Makes a Difference

Are you passionate about helping people navigate their pets’ veterinary care? Do you thrive in a compassionate, team-oriented environment where communication matters and there’s always something new to learn?

You may be exactly who we’re looking for.

At Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, we’re looking for a friendly, upbeat Veterinary Receptionist who enjoys solving problems, helping clients, and lending a hand wherever needed. Our reception team plays an essential role in the client experience—you’ll be one of the first people clients meet when they arrive and one of the last people they see before heading home.

We’re a hardworking team that values communication, trust, teamwork, and excellent service, and we’re looking for an adaptable people person who shares our commitment to our clients, patients, teammates, and community.

Why Our Veterinary Receptionists Love Working Here

  • Monday–Friday scheduling with no weekends
  • Hospital hours of 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • A variety of scheduling options designed around both hospital and employee needs
  • A collaborative environment where receptionists work closely with technicians and veterinarians
  • A team that values communication, trust, and helping one another
  • Opportunities to learn more about veterinary medicine while developing your client-service skills
  • A workplace where excellent service and attention to detail matter
  • Quarterly team rewards and opportunities for professional development

What Our Veterinary Receptionists Do

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll be a vital part of keeping our clients informed, our appointments organized, and our hospital running smoothly. You’ll:

  • Welcome clients and help create a positive experience from arrival through departure
  • Help clients schedule and manage veterinary appointments
  • Answer client questions and help connect them with the information they need
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with clients
  • Collaborate closely with fellow receptionists, veterinary technicians, veterinarians, and other team members
  • Help coordinate client needs and scheduling to support an efficient hospital workflow
  • Provide attentive, compassionate, and professional client service
  • Pay close attention to details while managing multiple responsibilities
  • Help resolve client concerns with patience, professionalism, and a solutions-focused approach
  • Pitch in wherever needed to support teammates and the overall client experience

What You’ll Bring

Veterinary experience can certainly help, but it isn’t the most important thing we’re looking for. We value people who communicate well, care about the details, and know how to work productively as part of a team.

You’ll bring:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A friendly, upbeat, and professional approach to client service
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Adaptability and a willingness to lend a helping hand
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to help clients find answers
  • The ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy environment
  • A commitment to providing excellent service to clients and their pets
  • The ability to handle and lift animals as required by the role
  • The ability to stand and sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • A willingness to learn and grow within the veterinary field
  • Previous veterinary experience is helpful but not required

The Extras You’ll Actually Feel

A great client experience starts with people who genuinely enjoy helping others. At Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, reception isn’t separate from the rest of the team—you’ll work side-by-side with nearly every area of the hospital.

You’ll have opportunities to learn from veterinary professionals, develop your skills, and become an important resource for clients as they navigate their pets’ care.

And because life outside of work matters too, our hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM with no weekends. We offer a variety of schedules within those hours to help balance the needs of our employees and the hospital.
