What Our Kennel Assistants Do

  • Feed, walk, and provide daily care for hospitalized or outpatient animals
  • Clean kennels, cages, and runs while maintaining hospital sanitation standards
  • Complete laundry and help ensure clean bedding and supplies are readily available
  • Monitor patients for changes in behavior, appetite, or condition and communicate concerns to the appropriate team member
  • Assist with basic patient comfort needs, including bedding, enrichment, and calming routines
  • Support hospital cleanliness and help maintain clean, organized patient care areas
  • Help the team with additional tasks as needed to keep the day running smoothly
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members to support exceptional patient care
