At Home Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital in Kahului, dedicated to providing exceptional medical care and compassionate service to pets and their families throughout Maui. We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Kennel Assistant to join our team.

As our Kennel Assistant, you’ll be the steady, caring presence our boarding and hospitalized patients count on. From walks and mealtimes to fresh bedding and spotless kennels, you’ll help keep our hospital a clean, safe, and comfortable place for pets and people alike.

What Our Kennel Attendants Do

• Provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, including feeding, walking, exercise, and monitoring
• Watch for changes in appetite, behavior, or health and report concerns to the medical team
• Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and treatment areas
• Launder bedding, towels, and hospital laundry
• Assist with bathing and basic grooming services as needed
• Keep the hospital, boarding facility, and outdoor areas clean and well maintained
• Stock supplies and help keep inventory organized
• Deliver friendly, excellent customer service to pet owners
• Support veterinarians, technicians, and reception staff wherever you’re needed

Responsibilities may vary based on hospital needs as well as your experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring

• A genuine love of animals and a commitment to compassionate care
• Comfort handling dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work one weekend shift per week
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Previous animal care experience is preferred but not required
