Prior customer service experience is a plus, but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are a must. As a CSR for South Anderson Veterinary Clinic, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the veterinary office
  • Maintain a clean environment
  • Properly answer multi-line phone system: assess, prioritize, and direct phone callers.
  • Maintain a professional reception area
  • Greet & welcome client and patients
  • Check in clients/patients, collect pertinent information
  • Confirm the next day's appointments according to protocol
  • Schedule client/patients for efficient use of doctor & staff time
  • Must be comfortable with Windows-based computer software
  • Collect payment from patients at the time of treatment
  • Learn the details of our practice management system Impromed Infinity 
  • Make follow-up appointments as needed

 

Physical Requirements

Please be sure you are comfortable with the following, as they are a regular part of our day:

  • Active movement throughout the day: walking, standing, squatting, etc. (not a sedentary position).
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds

  
Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Two years of office experience desired
  • Legible handwriting
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Office skills for 2+ years
  • Customer Experience of at least 3+ years  
  • Prior experience in the veterinary field is a bonus, not a requirement.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Must be a TEAM player
  • Able to adapt to office policy improvements
  • Conflict resolution experience
  • Customer service or patient relations experience
