Who we are

We are a busy small animal hospital in Eagan and are looking for an enthusiastic animal lover with great communication skills to work as a front desk receptionist. Client relationships are extremely important to us, so our ideal candidate must excel in dealing with people and animals. Our ideal receptionist is an individual who is friendly, outgoing, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably in an in-person position, such as a front desk
  • Has some experience or education in veterinary medicine. Veterinary clinic experience is preferred
  • Has good listening and critical thinking skills
  • Has the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Is comfortable with computers and technology and can learn multiple computer programs
  • Works well with others and can take direction well
  • Is familiar with veterinary clinic software. (Avimark)

Work Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting clients and checking in appointments
  • Answering phones (multiple lines)
  • Managing patient appointment schedule
  • Communicating with clients, technicians, and veterinarians in person, on the phone, and online
  • Processing invoices and payments
  • Various office and clerical tasks, including email, faxing, and scanning
  • Creating a warm, inviting, and welcoming environment for our clients and patients

 

We are open to either a full-time or part-time position. Hours must include 4 weekday mornings and every other Saturday. Afternoon hours are available if desired. Pay is based on experience, hours, and availability.
