Our front desk team is the face of our hospital, and we're looking for a Customer Service Representative who brings warmth, professionalism, and a love for animals to every interaction.
About the Role:
As a Client Service Representative, you’ll be the first and last face our clients see. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring a smooth experience from check-in to check-out, while also assisting the doctor as needed with animal handling and basic support tasks. This role is perfect for someone who loves helping people and their pets, and can stay calm and supportive, even during emotional situations like euthanasia consults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and pets with a friendly, compassionate attitude
- Answer multi-line phones and schedule appointments efficiently
- Process invoices and payments accurately—including for euthanasia consults
- Provide clear, caring communication during emotionally sensitive moments
- Maintain client and patient records with attention to detail
- Keep the front desk, reception, and treatment areas organized and welcoming
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure seamless client experiences
- Support the team with general administrative and clerical tasks
- Assist the doctor with restraint, patient prep, or basic tasks when
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds unassisted
- Capable of standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Able to safely restrain animals during exams or procedures
- Comfortable kneeling, bending, or reaching as needed for cleaning or assisting in the exam room
- Must be able to hear and communicate clearly in a busy environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is a plus
- Hospitality or customer service background highly beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, compassionate demeanor—especially in sensitive situations
- Comfort with computers and veterinary management software (experience with Avimark a plus)
