Day-to-day care of patients and boarders: duties include feeding, watering, cleaning, and monitoring the well-being of dogs and cats.
YOU ARE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU ARE:
- Dependable - You show up on time each day, ready to be there for the pets in our care.
- Emotionally Intelligent - You have an ability to empathize with and understand the emotions behind pet and human behaviors.
- Impeccable - You know your shift doesn't end until you're certain every pet is cared for, happy, and there are no mistakes.
- Problem Solver - When you see a problem arise, you are quick to look for solutions with little to no external guidance and are happy to bring the suggestion to management.
- You must be dependable,
- Able to work shifts from 3:30pm-9pm during the week
- Able to work weekends and holidays. Every other weekend Saturday 7:30-noon and 4-8pm and Sunday 7:30-noon and 4-8pm. If they holiday falls on your work week, it would be yours to work. You would just come in 3 times that day and take care of the boarding pets.
- This is a shared position
- Facility cleaning is a large part of this job. It does require vacuuming, mopping and cleaning cages.
- Kennel staff must have sufficient physical strength, mobility and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects, dexterity and confidence to administer medications, ability to monitor pets for signs of distress and the willingness and desire to learn to provide gentle, compassionate care for the boarded pets.
