What You’ll Do:

As a Kennel Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in caring for our boarding and hospitalized pets. Your compassion and attention to detail will help ensure every animal has a safe, clean, and comfortable experience during their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for pets: feeding, walking, administering medication, and documenting care (training provided)
• Assist with bathing and brushing pets to keep them clean and comfortable
• Perform laundry, restock supplies, clean kennels, and support general hospital cleaning duties
• Help gently restrain animals for treatments and procedures
• Remain informed on common infectious and zoonotic diseases and follow best practices for disease prevention
• Work a flexible schedule with shifts typically ranging from 5–8 hours, between 7 AM and 8 PM. Weekend and holiday availability is required. (Full-day shifts may include a one-hour lunch break.)

Kennel Assistant Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior animal handling experience is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate!
