Pet Groomer - Leonard, TX

Part-Time Pet Groomer Wanted! 

Leonard Animal Clinic is seeking a part-time groomer to join our two-doctor veterinary practice. Our mission is to deliver gold-standard veterinary medicine alongside exceptional customer service. 

This is an excellent opportunity to fully utilize your grooming skills and continue developing them in a supportive, fun, and professional environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide grooming services including bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, teeth brushing, and anal gland expression 

• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets throughout grooming sessions 

• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area 

• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences 

• Monitor pets’ health and behavior during sessions and report any concerns to the owner or veterinarian 

• Groom 3–6 dogs per day on average 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Prior grooming or pet care experience is preferred 

• Ability to safely handle and restrain animals 

• Familiarity with various breeds and their specific grooming needs 

• Strong communication and customer service skills 

• Physical stamina (must be able to lift at least 50 lbs unassisted and stand for extended periods) 

• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and collaborate with a team 

• Must provide your own grooming tools (clippers, blades, shears, etc.) 

• Cat grooming experience is a plus!
