Pet Care Attendant

Do you enjoy working with animals? Are you dependable? Are you the type of person who pays close attention to detail? If so, Sherlock Bones Animal Hospital is hiring a part-time kennel attendant position, and we want to hear from you! 

Responsibilities: Caring for our boarding and hospitalized patients, walking, feeding and giving medications. 

Facility cleaning is a large part of this job. It does require vacuuming, mopping the hospital, and cleaning cages. Must be a self-motivated individual. 

Kennel staff must have sufficient physical strength, mobility and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects, dexterity and confidence to administer medications, ability to monitor pets for signs of distress and the willingness and desire to learn to provide gentle, compassionate care for the boarded pets. 

Kennel Staff Hours: 

• Wednesday and Friday: 3:30pm-9pm and every other weekend and holidays.  

• Saturday: 7:30am-noon and 4-8pm  

• Sunday: 7:30am-noon and 4-8pm.   

• Holidays: 3 times a day to care for our boarders.   

• This is a job-shared position with another kennel attendant
