The Role

 

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Vetcor, you'll play a critical role in providing actionable insights and strategic support to our finance and leadership teams. You will drive the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across our network of veterinary practices. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to support strategic decision-making for all metrics impacting sales and margin
  • Accurately compiles month-end close information related to reconciliations, variance analysis and commentary
  • Partners with various business units to provide ad hoc analysis and P&L support
  • Develops and maintains financial models and tools needed to analyze data and present insights that help increase financial performance
  • Assist in developing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts on revenue performance and departmental operating expenses
  • Helps assess risks and opportunities and identify key operational and financial issues to be addressed

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, or similar role. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable being self-directive and accountable for workload and quality of work
  • Confident with finance and with communicating financial concepts to non-finance people
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Team-player with a collaborative mindset, positive attitude, and proactive approach to problem solving
