Kennel Technician - Royal Palm Beach, FL

Community Animal Hospital of Royal Palm Beach is looking for a kennel technician/vet assistant to add to its dedicated team. Our team is incredibly close and we have created a family-like atmosphere and an enjoyable work environment. Our hospital has been serving our community for over 35 years to help keep pets happy, healthy, and pain-free. We are an AAHA-accredited, community-based hospital that provides quality veterinary care for dogs, cats, pocket pets, reptiles, birds, and more. Our team values compassion, communication, and collaboration in all we do. Our kennel technicians/assistants are well-utilized and highly valued for their role in our daily operations, and we aren’t shy about showing our appreciation. Our team enjoys scheduling that supports a proper work-life balance with a 4-day work week, rotating weekends, and no nights, on-call, or emergency shifts.

Professional requirements include the following:

• Keeping the kennel area maintained and ensuring all animals are cared for
• Cleaning around the hospital
• Stocking all areas of the hospital
• Restraining pets to help veterinary technicians
• Assisting the veterinarian and technicians with daily duties
• Administering medications to pets
• Bathing pets, trimming nails, other basic grooming for pets
• Filling prescriptions
• Taking out trash and doing laundry for the hospital
• Maintaining the outside of the hospital
• Answering phones

Applicant needs to be self-motivated, hard-working, and energetic for our busy day practice. We are looking for someone who is comfortable communicating with clients, is a great team member, has good phone presence, and knowledge of Avimark veterinary software is a plus, but training will be provided if applicant is not familiar with this program. Training with veterinary technicians is also provided.
