Windermere Animal Hospital is Now Hiring: Part-Time Kennel Attendant
Do you love working with dogs and cats and want a role with long-term potential? If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and excited to care for pets in a hands-on role, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Do:
- Provide daily care for dogs and cats, including:
- Feeding, watering, and monitoring wellbeing
- Cleaning kennels, litter boxes, and play areas
- Administering medications when needed
- Ensure pets are comfortable, safe, and happy during their stay
- Maintain a clean, healthy facility (vacuuming, mopping, laundry, etc.)
- Assist with facility needs and support the veterinary team when required
Schedule:
- Weekdays: 3:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Saturday: 7:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. & 4:00–8:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 7:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. & 4:00–8:00 p.m.
- Holidays: If scheduled, you’ll cover 3 shorter shifts to care for boarding pets
You’re the Ideal Candidate If You Are:
- Dependable – arrive on time and ready to care for pets every shift
- Compassionate – emotionally intelligent and able to understand pet behaviors
- Detail-Oriented – you don’t leave until every pet is happy and cared for
- Proactive – quick to solve problems and communicate with the team
- Physically able to lift/move pets and supplies, monitor for signs of distress, and provide gentle, compassionate care
